IT has been applied in various fields of power industry through years of efforts with a focus on IT integration and comprehensive application.
In order to guarantee reliability and security of information in power industry, optical communications network, data network and information network of power systems shall be integrated and unified and IT application systems shall be integrated.
Data communications network of power systems includes power dispatching network and power data communications network. Power dispatching data network bears real-time production dispatching data; power data communications network bears production management data.
Power industry focuses on three aspects of infrastructure:
- Reliability of network operation: guarantee reliable business bearing via different types of network (more reliable network through network designing);
- Security of network operation: strict physical business separation via different types of network and various security measures in line with information security system (VPN, firewall, intrusion testing and security accidents analysis);
- Management of network operation: real-time monitoring and operation management of network equipment, operation status, network flow and network security via comprehensive monitoring system).
